On Oct. 14, 2024 Europa Clipper was launched on a $5.2 billion mission to perform 49 flybys of the Galilean moon to investigate whether the ocean beneath its icy crust may be capable of supporting life. This quest, which seems like a costly gamble, begs the question as to what life is, and whether it is confined to carbon based lifeforms in the space-time continuum in which we currently find ourselves.
This blog explores evidence of a realm outside of space-time that humans have contacted down through the ages. The desire to reach for the heavens and find extraterrestrial life, may be our current framing of the age old question of whence have we come and whither are we going.
What if the extraterrestrials that science is in search of are us?
